Contact Don Don Laird has extensive experience providing help to adults, teens, couples, and families who are struggling with a wide range of issues including but not limited to anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, grief, and trauma. As a writer and educator, Don has also facilitated workshops and seminars in the areas of depression, dreams, stress reduction and self growth. Don’s therapeutic style is interactive and conversational. He views therapy as an environment where individuals can safely explore problems, issues and fears with an emphasis on being heard and understood. Moreover, he believes the therapeutic relationship sheds light upon how we are and who we are and gives people a greater understanding about and capacity for living as fully as possible. A native of Pittsburgh, Don earned his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Duquesne University and a Masters Degree in Professional Counseling from Carlow University. Following the completion of his internships and training at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, Don worked as a Therapist and Clinical Lead at Western Psychiatric Institute & Clinic for over four years before moving on to private practice. Don is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Nationally Certified Counselor. |
